Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

Many new developments that could impact on the environment require EIA authorisation prior to commencement. It is a mandatory requirement of EIAs to provide meaningful opportunities for public participation.

We have experience successfully representing concerned community-based organisations (CBOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and ratepayers associations in EIA processes. Services offered include:

- Drafting of legal submissions on Basic Assessment, Scoping or Final EIA Reports;

- Drafting Appeals against EIA authorisations or exemptions; and

- Representing clients seeking Judicial Review of Appeal Decisions.
