ISO14001: 2004
Organisations seeking to achieve or maintain an ISO14001: 2004 certified environmental management system (EMS) are required by the international code of practice to (amongst other things):

(a)    identify and have access to applicable legal requirements, and determine how these requirements apply; and

(b)    undertake periodic legal compliance evaluation.

These are minimum requirements of ISO14001, and certification cannot be achieved or maintained in their absence.

In order to assist an organisation achieve or maintain ISO14001 certification, the following products and services are offered:

Legal Registers

We offer a user-friendly Legal Register that is designed to meet the requirements of ISO14001. Each of our Legal Registers are adapted to an organisation's activities, products and services. As a minimum they include a summary of the identified applicable legal requirements, and an explanation of how these requirements apply. Our Legal Registers can also include references to related EMS procedures and records.

Environmental Legal Compliance Evaluation

We specialise in offering value-adding, practical environmental legal compliance evaluations (or legal audits) which provide a crisp record of an organisation's compliance status regarding applicable legal requirements. A typical legal compliance evaluation usually involves a site audit and a review of applicable records (e.g. permits, monitoring results, specialist reports etc.).

Environmental Legal Training

We offer focussed, on-site  environmental legal training services to organisations seeking to achieve or maintain certification.
